Karen is a partner in the Construction and Engineering Group.

Karen is a highly experienced construction lawyer with a broad practice encompassing a wide range of sectors including: fit out, refurbishment & expansion contracts in the tech, pharmaceutical, agri food and leisure sectors based on employer design, EPC and construction management models; commercial and residential property development agreements and construction contracts including ancillary documentation such as bonds, collateral warranties and design team appointments; and turbine supply and civil contracts including EPC contracting in the wind energy sector. Karen has also advised on dispute avoidance and dispute resolution under all forms of construction and engineering contracts including the Public Works Contracts.

Karen is also the Chair of our Sustainable Business Committee, which focuses on building a long-term sustainable business for our people, our clients and the community where we operate.

  • Advising Kennedy Wilson on the development of 7 blocks of mixed use accommodation at Capital Dock
  • Advising Green Property REIT on the re-development and fit out of asset portfolio acquisitions in Dublin 2 & Central Park
  • Advising Dairygold on the expansion of its existing dairy processing facility at Mallow
  • Advising Intel on aspects of the construction of its Fab 24 and Fab 14 facilities at its Leixlip plant
  • Advising Renegeron, Novartis, Merck & Genzyme on expansions to existing facilities and development of new pharmaceutical facilities in Ireland
  • Advising Coillteon the development and construction of a 60MW windfarm at Sliabh Bawn
  • Advising Blackstone on the refurbishment of the Burlington Hotel
