We advised HTGROUP, a leading pan-European healthcare mobility infrastructure and services business, on its acquisition of a 75% stake in Lifeline Ambulance Service, Ireland’s leading independent ambulance and patient transport operator.
The transaction marks HTGROUP’s entry into the Irish market and establishes Lifeline as its platform for future expansion in Ireland. Lifeline operates from 11 bases nationwide, employs approximately 200 people and provides a range of non-emergency ambulance services, including patient and organ transport, as well as emergency medical technician training.
The Arthur Cox team was led by Amy McDermott and Lesley-Ann Perera (Corporate and M&A) and included Eve Hackett and Emily Fenton (Corporate and M&A), Ciara McDermott and Caoimhe Daunt (Employment), Kate O’Donohoe and Aoife Ennis (Litigation, Dispute Resolution and Investigations), Martha McGarry and Daniel Watters (Pensions and Employee Benefits), Patrick Horan and Aoibhín Ní Dhubháin (Competition and Regulated Markets), Elaine Mooney, Nicola Cavey and Emily Briggs (Tax), Brian O’Rourke and Kate Cox (Real Estate), Mark Thuillier and Aoibh O’Connor (Environment and Planning), Olivia Mullooly and Jonathan Bean (Technology and Innovation) and Louise O’Byrne (Employment). We worked alongside Trasna Corporate Finance, which acted as M&A adviser to HTGROUP on the transaction.
