Hi, I’m Christopher O’Reilly, and I’m a partner in the Asset Management and Investment Funds Group here at Arthur Cox. Our team advises clients on the setup, operation, and regulation of their Irish funds, and we support our management company clients in their day-to-day operations and in the management of their funds both in Ireland and internationally.

We have a very broad practice across the team. We cover private assets across all the strategies our clients are focused on, including private equity, credit, infrastructure, real estate, and others. It’s a particularly busy and innovative time for the industry, as we see the huge potential of the Irish Investment Limited Partnership and the European Long-Term Investment Fund structures really beginning to ramp up. We’re working closely with our clients to explore what’s possible within those vehicles.

On the UCITS side, we support our clients in equities and fixed income strategies and on the ETF side, the industry is clearly going from strength to strength. Having advised on the very first European ETFs 25 years ago, we’re constantly focused here at Arthur Cox on what’s next, helping our clients innovate with new ETF products.

The work is fantastic—it’s also incredibly varied. Depending on the day, I might be working on a new fund establishment, addressing an issue for a client with an existing structure, or advising on a fund secondary transaction. There’s always something to think about.

With around five trillion euros in assets domiciled in Irish funds, there’s always something to keep you on your toes and plenty to get excited about. To learn more about our team, please visit arthurcox.com/assetmanagement-and-investment-funds
