We have advised H&MV Engineering on an approximately €750 million continuation vehicle transaction led by existing investor Exponent and supported by new investors Apollo S3, Pantheon and SQ Capital.

The transaction extends Exponent’s investment in H&MV, which has grown into a leading global provider of specialist high-voltage engineering and critical power infrastructure services. The new investment structure provides long-term capital backing to support H&MV’s continued international expansion, strategic acquisition opportunities and investment in new engineering capabilities.

Founded in Limerick, H&MV operates at the centre of rapidly growing demand for critical power infrastructure driven by AI, electrification, battery energy storage and the energy transition. Supported by a €2 billion order book and a €16 billion pipeline, the company is targeting revenues of €3 billion within five years.

The Arthur Cox team advising H&MV was led by Michael Coyle (Corporate and M&A) and included Niamh Gunning, M.J. Gillen and Zara Murphy (Corporate and M&A), Shane O’Neill and Alexander de Búrca (Construction and Engineering), Mark Thuillier and Alice Symington (Environment and Planning), Christopher O’Reilly and Aoife Morgan (Asset Management and Investment Funds), Sarah Faulkner and Caoimhe Daunt (Employment), Daniel Watters and Luke Haugh (Pensions and Employee Benefits), Olivia Mullooly, Fionn Henderson and Kerry Burns (Technology and Innovation), Elaine Mooney (Tax) and Patrick Horan (Competition and Regulated Markets).
