01/09/2026 Appointments

Amy McDermott and Christopher O’Reilly have been appointed to lead our London office, effective from 1 September 2026.

Amy and Christopher succeed Conor McCarthy, partner in our Corporate and M&A Group, who returns to Dublin after leading the London office since 2022. During his tenure, Conor played an important role in strengthening our presence in London and supporting clients across international markets.

Amy is a partner in our Corporate and M&A Group and advises financial investors and public and private companies on the full spectrum of corporate transactions across a range of industries. Her practice encompasses complex domestic and cross-border M&A, corporate finance transactions, joint ventures, corporate reorganisations and a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters.

Christopher is a partner in our Asset Management and Investment Funds Group. He advises investment managers, service providers and investors on all aspects of Irish fund law, regulation and governance. Christopher specialises in the establishment and operation of alternative investment funds, private capital structures, UCITS ETFs and other regulated businesses and funds.

Commenting on the appointments, Geoff Moore, Managing Partner, said: “Our London office is an important part of our international business and plays a key role in supporting clients on complex international matters. Amy and Christopher are highly regarded lawyers whose expertise, strong client relationships and international experience make them ideally placed to lead the office’s continued development.

Building on the strong foundations established by Conor, they will continue to strengthen the connections of and between our international offices and support our clients wherever they do business.”
