He has experience advising on a broad range of energy and utilities projects, including conventional and renewable electricity, interconnectors, natural gas, commodities & natural resources, data centres, PPP & infrastructure, waste, and telecoms. 

Relevant Experience

  • Advising Greenlink Interconnector on the development and financing of its 500MW undersea electricity interconnector between Ireland and Great Britain, including advice on energy regulation 
  • Advising EirGrid on electricity regulation and commercial contracts 
  • Advising Energia on energy regulation and development projects across its business, including renewable and conventional energy generation projects and electricity supplier regulations 
  • Advising Dublin Waste to Energy on its waste-to-energy plant at Poolbeg, Dublin 
  • Advising Corio Generation on its 400MW offshore wind farm development at Sceirde Rocks, County Galway and on offshore renewable projects in Ireland 
  • Advising Meta (Facebook) on energy related matters on its data centre projects, including on corporate PPAs and grid connection issues 
  • Advising a major US car manufacturer on all regulatory requirements related to deployment of EV charging infrastructure in Ireland 
  • Advising Starwood Capital Group on its debt financing of Irish data centre projects
