We have acted as lead counsel to EZO’s lenders (including Aberdeen and Standard Life) on their €150 million investment-grade senior debt financing to support the growth of its electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure network across the UK and Ireland.
The funding will support the rollout of more than 3,000 charge points, representing more than 100,000 kW of charging capacity. This investment will play a key role in advancing EV infrastructure across both markets and supporting the transition to lower-carbon transport.
The transaction represents a significant step in EZO’s growth and demonstrates continued investor confidence in the EV charging sector as demand for sustainable transport infrastructure continues to grow. Congratulations to the EZO and lender teams, along with adviser and majority shareholder Rubicon Capital, on reaching this important milestone.
The Arthur Cox team was led by Niamh McGovern (Energy and Infrastructure) and Ciara Buckley (Debt Finance) and included Audrey Hughes (Debt Finance), Gillian Carragher (Energy and Infrastructure), Alexander de Búrca (Construction and Engineering), Sally Barnicle (Debt Finance), David Kilty (Tax), Lebo Motsumi Nkoloti (Tax) and Emily Briggs (Tax).
