Jonathan specialises in providing commercial advice to clients on issues relating to technology contracting, privacy and data protection, commercial transactions and intellectual property law. Jonathan previously worked in Corrs Chambers Westgarth’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice in Melbourne, Australia.

Relevant Experience

• Advising an Australian corporate government entity on the preparation and negotiation of a technology contract for the acquisition of generative AI based technology services.
• Advising a global car manufacturer on an extensive data governance uplift project, proposed uses of facial recognition technology and responding to an investigation from Australia’s privacy regulator.
• Assisting with the technology and intellectual property aspects of a global car manufacturer’s purchase of an electronic vehicle company.
• Advising a global technology platform provider on compliance with Australia’s online safety regime.
• Seven-month full time secondment to the commercial legal team of a leading Australian retail and consumer services provider.
