David is Of Counsel in the Firm’s Asset Management and Investment Funds Group. He has extensive experience in advising on the legal and regulatory issues surrounding the establishment and regulation of investment funds in Ireland, ranging from the structuring and offering of such funds, advising on the eligibility of various asset classes and advising on on-going legal and regulatory issues as they arise.
David works closely with a number of leading financial institutions and asset managers primarily based in the U.K., U.S.A. and Ireland and has lead a number of these financial institutions and asset managers through the process of establishment and authorisation of investment funds in Ireland. David regularly advises in relation to the marketing of foreign investment funds in Ireland. He has previously worked on secondment with Ulster Bank, with a particular remit to advise their Private Wealth Management team on a number of specific projects.
David has contributed to a number of publications including the Irish chapter of The Asset Management Review, published in the U.K. by Law Business Research. David is active within the industry and has sat as a member of the Irish Funds Marketing Committee and the Irish Funds Legal and Regulatory Committee.
