Paddy specialises in structured finance and securitisation, with a particular focus on CLO, private credit and asset-based finance transactions. He advises banks, managers, investors and issuers across a broad range of transactions.
Paddy has extensive experience advising on collateralised loan obligation (CLO) transactions, including the structuring and establishment of Irish risk retention vehicles. Paddy also advises on other securitisation transactions involving Irish SPVs, including RMBS, CMBS and auto ABS transactions.
Paddy regularly advises asset managers on the structuring, establishment, maintenance and financing of European aggregation platforms involving Irish vehicles and has advised several leading global asset managers on a variety of credit investment structures involving Irish SPVs, ICAVs and hybrid ICAV / SPV structures.
Paddy previously lectured on structured finance and securitisation as part of the Law Society of Ireland’s Diploma in Finance Law. He is recognised across the leading legal directories and is ranked in Chambers Global, Legal 500 and IFLR1000.
Prior to joining Arthur Cox, Paddy was a partner on the Finance and Capital Markets Team at a leading international law firm’s Irish office. Before that, he trained and worked as a solicitor at a top five Irish law firm.
