• In recent times an increasing number of Irish funds authorised by the Financial Regulator have been launched employing alternative strategies rather than the traditional long only or fixed income funds. The purpose of this client memorandum is to examine the key reasons why a UCITS vehicle is now regarded as a suitable product for alternative strategies.
