Martina is Of Counsel with the firm’s Real Estate Group. Martina is responsible for leading the knowledge function for the group and developing and sharing insights on legal and regulatory changes impacting the real estate sector.

Noted for both her technical legal expertise and her commercial acumen, Martina has been at the forefront of real estate practice for more than 20 years. Acting and advising on some of the highest profile transactions in that period, Martina has extensive experience of both transactional and advisory aspects of commercial property, including landlord and tenant matters, estate management, single, multi-asset and corporate share acquisitions and disposals, real estate financing, insolvency and disputes.

Martina’s current practice includes advising on new or evolving regulation impacting real estate including the regulation of residential tenancies, the energy performance of buildings and approved housing bodies.

  • Advising market-leading international student accommodation providers on the application of residential tenancies legislation to student-specific accommodation in Ireland
  • Advising a state entity on the application in Ireland of the Energy Performance of Building Directive recast
  • Advising international retailers on green lease clauses appropriate to their portfolios, legal obligations and commitments
  • Advising leading approved housing body on compliance requirements under the Housing (Regulation of Approved Housing Bodies) Act 2019
