Brendan is a partner in our Finance Group and specialises in debt capital markets and structured finance transactions.

Brendan advises a broad range of international clients on bespoke structured lending deals, CLOs, CMBS and other securitisation structures as well as corporate bond issuances, life settlements platforms and various other asset-based financing structures.

Brendan also has experience advising financial institutions and asset managers on regulatory and disclosure issues, including in relation to the Market Abuse Regulation, Transparency Directive, Prospectus Regulation and other securities law obligations.

  • Advising KKR and Blackstone on various direct lending vehicles and platforms (European and global) and general Irish financial regulatory matters including advising on the establishment of retention holding structures using Irish vehicles and the establishment of various CLO facilities
  • Advising in respect of CLO transactions for collateral managers including KKR, Blackstone, Partners Group, AXA Investment Managers, Signal Capital, Cross Ocean and Sound Point
  • Advising Cross Ocean Partners, Napier Park, Signal Capital, Blackrock and Investcorp on the establishment of S.110 risk retention holding structures
  • Advising Eurobank, CrediaBank and Pireaus on asset-backed lending facilities to Irish-based private credit structures
  • Advising Wayflyer on the establishment of a receivables financing platform and on debt financing facilities with J.P. Morgan and Neuberger Berman
  • Advising Alcentra and Fortress Group on the establishment of S110 European credit investment structures
  • Advising DunPort Capital Management on the establishment of a European SME loan fund with various institutional investors and the provision of a subscription line facility
  • Advising Goldman Sachs and NatWest Markets on the provision of credit to Bain Capital for the purchase of European secured debt, nonperforming loan portfolios and real estate assets
  • Advising Virgin Media Group on the issuance and structuring of multiple vendor financing note issuances secured on accounts payable by the Virgin Media Group
