We advised Eiffel Investment Group on the financing of a new biomethane production facility in Ireland, which will be developed by Evergreen Agricultural Enterprises.

Biomethane is a renewable gas generated by the breakdown of organic waste products, which can be used in a similar way to natural gas.

The project, scheduled to begin in mid-2026, is expected to produce approximately 120 GWh of renewable biomethane annually for direct injection into the national gas grid operated by Gas Networks Ireland.

Our team was led by Ciara Buckley (Partner, Debt Finance) and Niamh McGovern (Partner, Energy and Infrastructure), and included Audrey Hughes and Mary Elizabeth Hayes (Debt Finance), Bob Hughes and Sorcha Ryder (Energy and Infrastructure), Jacinta Conway, Mark Thuillier and Rachel O’Callaghan (Environment and Planning), Brian O’Rourke, Thelma Byrne and Kate Cox (Real Estate), and David Kilty (Tax).
