We are pleased to sponsor the Aer Lingus College Football Classic Series, under a three-year agreement. The Aer Lingus College Football Classic is a flagship major international sporting event that brings US college football to Dublin and showcases Ireland on a global stage.

This year’s game will take place at the Aviva Stadium on 29 August, with TCU, Texas facing the University of North Carolina in what will be the only NCAA Division I college football game played in Ireland this year. Looking ahead, the University of Pittsburgh will host the University of Wisconsin in the 2027 Aer Lingus College Football Classic, with future games announced in due course.

The series is widely recognised for its significant sporting, cultural and economic impact, attracting international audiences and strengthening long-standing business and political links between Ireland and the United States. The last four games in the series have provided an estimated economic boost to Ireland of €514 million, with over 18 million people watching the games live in the US.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Geoff Moore, Managing Partner, Arthur Cox LLP, said: “The Aer Lingus College Football Classic is an international event with a uniquely Irish dimension, combining sport, culture and global connectivity. Our partnership reflects the firm’s international links and our commitment to initiatives that create meaningful engagement opportunities for our clients and the wider community.”

Eve Mulconry, Partner, Arthur Cox LLP, added: “The Aer Lingus College Football Classic is much more than a sporting fixture. It creates a focal point for Irish‑US business, cultural and community engagement, and provides an opportunity to connect with international audiences in a distinctive and lasting way.”

Padraic O’Kane, Co‑Founder of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic, also commented: “We are delighted to welcome Arthur Cox as a partner of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic. The firm’s international outlook and long-standing connections between Ireland and the US align closely with the ethos of the event’s ‘Much More Than A Game’ initiative and the broader programme of business and cultural engagement that surrounds it.”

Brendan Meehan, Commercial Director of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic, said: “Support from firms such as Arthur Cox plays an important role in enabling the continued growth of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic. Their involvement strengthens the platform we have built around the Classic and helps deliver a world‑class event that has a lasting impact for Ireland.”

Our partnership forms part of our broader commitment to supporting initiatives that foster international collaboration and enhance Ireland’s position as a global business and cultural hub.
