Blánaid is a senior associate in the Finance Group and specialises in debt capital markets and structured finance transactions.

Blánaid has experience advising clients on the acquisition and financing of Irish loan portfolios, CLOs, CMBS, RMBS and other structured lending and securitisation structures, as well as corporate bond issuances and development financing transactions.

  • Advising on the establishment of direct lending platforms through Irish SPVs, including Activate Capital, KKR and GoldenTree Asset Management
  • ​Advising Echelon Data Centres on its €1.7bn loan financing provided by Morgan Stanley
  • ​Advising on the acquisition and financing of Irish performing and non-performing loan portfolios for clients including Morgan Stanley, Apollo and PIMCO
  • ​Advising issuers and arrangers on Irish RMBS and CMBS transactions, including Morgan Stanley, Citibank and AIB
  • ​Advising on the establishment of Section 110 structures to fund the acquisition (and securitisation) of distressed assets in European jurisdictions, including in Spain, Portugal and Greece
  • ​Advising on various Greek NPL financing transactions for Alpha Bank and National Bank of Greece, including projects such as Galaxy, Cosmos, Frontier and Orion
  • ​Advising the dealers on Irish covered bond programmes, including AIB and Bank of Ireland
  • Advising Starwood Capital, Apollo and Echelon on various aspects of development finance transactions
  • ​Advising Wayflyer in securing $300 million in debt financing
  • ​Assisted in advising daa plc on its corporate bond issuance
