We joined Temple Bar Gallery + Studios recently to honour Joanne Reid, recipient of the Paul Robinson Studio Award 2026.
The award was created in memory of Arthur Cox Partner Paul Robinson, who was a TBG+S Board Member from 2013 to 2017. He is warmly remembered with great fondness and respect for his many contributions to the organisation, his support of artists and engaging interest in contemporary art. Joanne Reid is the third artist to receive the award following its establishment in 2024.
At the event, artists, colleagues and members of Paul’s family and friends gathered to celebrate his lasting contribution to the arts. Joanne Reid outlined her plans for the Studio Award, while guests reflected on Paul’s involvement with TBG+S and his longstanding support for emerging artists and contemporary art.
On receiving the award, Joanne Reid commented:
“I am so grateful to receive the Paul Robinson Studio Award. On being told that I had received the award, I was so overwhelmed and so thankful. It means a lot for me and my arts practice. I would like to sincerely thank Paul’s family and Arthur Cox for creating this award in his memory. The Paul Robinson Studio Award will, and has already allowed me, to focus fully on my artistic practice. It will give me support with space, time, and therefore the freedom to focus on my work. It also allows me to be part of an amazing community of artists supported by the team at TBG+S. Thank you.”
