We have been shortlisted in the Innovative Lawyers Sustainability category at the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Europe Awards 2026 for our work advising Partners Group and Greenlink on the sale of the Greenlink interconnector.
The matter involved the €1 billion sale of the 500MW Greenlink HVDC interconnector linking Ireland and Great Britain, a landmark energy infrastructure project that supports grid resilience, renewable energy integration and security of electricity supply.
We acted as lead Irish counsel, advising on the sale as well as the wider development, financing, energisation and operation of the interconnector. The transaction represents a significant milestone for Ireland’s energy transition and demonstrates the role of innovative legal solutions in delivering complex, sustainable infrastructure projects.
The FT Innovative Lawyers Europe Awards recognise lawyers, law firms and in-house legal teams that are driving innovation and helping clients navigate complex commercial, regulatory and societal challenges. The awards ceremony will take place at the Natural History Museum in London on 24 September 2026.
