Mark is a consultant in the Real Estate Group.

He specialises in all aspects of commercial property including development, construction, property finance, commercial landlord and tenant and investment acquisitions and disposals.

Relevant Experience

  • Advising Kennedy Wilson on the acquisition of the State Street Headquarter Building and adjoining site at Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin and on the subsequent Capital Dock Development including the forward sale of Block 200 Capital Dock to JP Morgan (deal value excess €100m) and pre-letting of Blocks 100 and 300 Capital Dock to Indeed Ireland Operations (excess 270k square feet)
  • Advising Irish Life on the acquisition of retail and office investment assets in Project Sovereign (€150m) and in the forward purchase of the Velasco Building, Dublin (circa €50m) and the new Grant Thornton HQ at City Quay, Dublin (circa €125m)
  • Assisting the National Treasury Management Agency, Department of Finance and Attorney General’s Office in the drafting of the National Asset Management Agency Act 2009, and subsequently advising NAMA on the drafting of the template legal due diligence report for Participating Institutions and on the management (legal) of several major NAMA connections
  • Advising Musgrave Group on property aspects of its acquisition of Superquinn and subsequently on the disposal of Blackrock Shopping Centre
  • Advising Blackstone on the acquisition of the Burlington Hotel Dublin, the office portfolio comprised in Project Platinum, the Project Tower loan portfolio acquisition from NAMA and in respect of several other “off market” transactions
  • Advising Davy on the disposal of the Jurys Inn Hotel, Parnell Street Dublin, the acquisition of the Harcourt Building, Dublin, the FÁS headquarter Building at Mespil Road, Dublin, Aghadoe Heights Hotel, Kerry  and Fitzwilliam Hotel, Waterford
  • Advising Tetrarch Capital Partners and Midwest Holdings on the acquisition of the former Ritz Carlton Hotel, Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow and the Marker Hotel and Residences at Grand Canal Square, Dublin and on the subsequent disposal of the Residences
  • Advising Standard Life on the acquisition of the Cineworld Complex, Parnell Street , Dublin and Blocks 3 and 5 Custom House Plaza, Dublin, and the Allianz Building at Elm Park, Dublin 4 and generally on asset management of these properties
  • Advising Hibernia REIT on the acquisition of the Garda HQ Building at Harcourt Square, Dublin and with the subsequent asset management of the building
  • Advising NAMA on the disposals of City Block 3 and City Block 9 Development Sites in North Docklands (aggregate consideration excess €300m) and the disposal of Northbank multi-family development in North Docklands (deal value excess €35m)
