Ultan trained with Arthur Cox having previously being admitted in New York where he completed a masters degree in Banking and Corporate Finance and also worked as in-house counsel for a New York not-for-profit organisation. Ultan advises both financial institutions and borrowers on a wide range of domestic and international finance transactions including secured and unsecured lending, asset/property finance, acquisition finance, syndicated loans and structured finance.

• Acting for 3i Investments plc in relation to the financing of the acquisition of Inspicio plc and its subsidiaries
• Acting for Goldman Sachs in relation to the financing aspects of the merger of TDS Logistics INC. and its subsidiaries with the Walsh Western Group
• Acting for Ulster Bank in connection with the provision of facilities to the United Drug Group
• Acting for Siteserv plc in connection with the financing of the acquisition of the Deborah Group in the UK
• Acting for Edward Holdings in connection with the financing of the acquisition of Ashford Castle, Ireland
• Acting for the borrower in connection with construction/development facilities provided for the development of the site at Riverside IV, Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2
