John has many years experience in various aspects of commercial law specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency, EC and Competition Law; Company Inspectorships and Tribunals of Enquiry. He also advises a range of major companies on legal issues and has been recommended for many years as a leading Irish commercial lawyer. Prior to joining Arthur Cox, John was with Gerrard, Scallan & O’Brien, a Dublin commercial law firm, where he was head of the commercial law department and Managing Partner for many years.
