Expertise

Joanelle is a partner in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group and has advised and represented clients in the healthcare, childcare, insurance and commercial litigation areas. She is also involved in statutory and non-statutory inquires, and regulatory and disciplinary hearings.  Joanelle represents the medical profession before the Medical Council.  She also acts for An Bord Altranais (the Nursing Board) and advises and represents the Chief Executive Officer of that body.  Joanelle also advises clients such as the HSE, the ISPCC and other healthcare clients on a range of issues including inquiries, investigations, ethical issues, statutory requirements, child protection issues, consent, confidentiality and general litigation/advisory issues. 

Joanelle also has substantial experience in litigation including insurance and commercial litigation.

Experience

• Advising in relation to Court applications concerning cross-border mergers, schemes of arrangement and migrations
• Advising clients on the conduct of private inquiries/investigations and the application of administrative and public law
• Advising clients concerning issues of elder abuse and child protection policies
• Advising regulatory clients in judicial review proceedings
