Expertise

Bryan is a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group. Since qualifying, Bryan has been involved in the practice of commercial and civil litigation.  He has extensive experience in advising in relation to insurance law, commercial disputes, judicial review, personal injury, product liability, transport and shipping law, including carriage of goods, competition, fraud and forensic investigation. He is an accredited mediator with CEDR.

Experience

Recent transactions include:

• Resolving a substantial dispute under a shareholders agreement
• Advising insurers in a significant dispute regarding policy wording
• Successfully mediating a dispute between insurers and related disputes between four policy holders
• Challenging the arrest of a ship on the grounds of wrongful arrest and securing damages against the arresting party
• Successfully defending on behalf of an insurer a claim by the insured on the grounds of fraud
• Pursuing a claim for the recovery of monies paid under a share purchase agreement on the grounds of fraud and misrepresentation
