Expertise
Brendan is a partner in the Corporate Recovery Department where he has worked for 8 years. During that time he has had extensive experience of both formal and informal, domestic and cross-border restructuring and of insolvency proceedings advising financial institutions, insolvency practitioners and directors of companies in distress on their rights and obligations.
He has also developed an expertise in bankruptcy law advising both officeholders and stakeholders.
Experience
Brendan’s recent assignments include:
- Advising the Co-ordinating Committee of secured lenders to the Independent News & Media Group on that Group's restructuring negotiations
- Advising Kieran Wallace of KPMG on the successful examinership of two companies involved in the Parkside retail and residential development in Portlaoise
- Advising Paul McCann of Grant Thornton on the liquidation of O’Brien’s Irish Sandwich Bars Limited
- Advising GMAC CF and BDO Simpson Xavier in relation to the receivership of Hoermann Electronics Limited
- Advising Declan Taite of FGS on the liquidation of Fencore Services Limited
- Advising UK Trustees in Bankruptcy in pursuing their rights against Irish resident bankrupts and their assets
- Advising a secured lender to an individual subsequently adjudicated bankrupt in respect of its dealings with the Official Assignee
