UCITS - Risk Measurement-Leverage Disclosure, September 2010

On 28 July 2010 the Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR) issued “Guidelines on Risk Measurement and the Calculation of Global Exposure and Counterparty Risk for UCITS” following a consultation on the draft Guidelines issued in April 2010. This bulletin highlights the key areas covered by the final Guidelines and the noteworthy changes made as a result of the consultation process. In addition, we report on the policy statement issued by the Financial Regulator on 13 September 2010 in relation to leverage disclosure requirements for UCITS.
