This legal update deals with a number of recent developments in pensions law and regulation. The Pensions Board has recently issued the third edition of its Trustee Handbook and is set to introduce a formal trustee training requirement, there have been some significant developments in the industry view of section 50 prompted by updated FAQs from the Pensions Board and a number of cases have been decided on the relationship between the employment contract and the pensions promise.
