On 20 July 2008, the Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2008 (the “Act”) came into force following calls for change in areas of the law which it was widely regarded required updating. The Act brings modernisation to areas such as Landlord & Tenant law, Censorship rules, and the Juries Act.
