ELG Scheme Extension of Issuance Period, October 2010

On 29 September 2010, a statutory instrument was passed which extends the “issuance period” of the Credit Institutions (Eligible Liabilities Guarantee) Scheme 2009 (the “ELG Scheme”) from 29 September 2010 to 31 December 2010. The extension of the ELG Scheme was approved by the EU Commission in two separate decisions on 28 June and 21 September 2010 respectively.
