Consultation on Code on Lending to Related Parties, July 2010

On 13 May 2010 the Financial Regulator published Consultation Paper CP 43 (the “Consultation Paper”) on the Financial Regulator’s proposed Code on related party Lending (the “Code”). The Consultation paper outlines proposals to introduce a statutory code of practice concerning lending by banks and building societies to Related Parties (“Related Parties”) and persons connected to these individuals (“Connected Persons”) and includes a draft version of the Code at Appendix 1.
