Central Bank Consultation on Proposed Changes to the Consumer Protection Code, December 2010
06.12.2010
On 28 October 2010, the Central Bank of Ireland (the “Central Bank”) published a consultation paper on the Consumer Protection Code (the “Code”), outlining proposed new requirements for regulated firms when dealing with consumers in addition to strengthening the existing Code requirements in key areas. The Central Bank has once again stressed that consumer protection remains a high priority for it and the proposed changes are part of its ongoing drive to strengthen current consumer protection requirements.
