Directive 2007/64/EC on payment services in the internal market, otherwise known as the Payment Services Directive (the “PSD”), was adopted on 13 November 2007 and published in the Official Journal of the EU on 5 December 2007. The deadline for national implementation of the PSD by each of the EU Member States is 1 November 2009.
