Asia-Pacific
The Practice
The Asia-Pacific region has experienced significant economic growth in recent years. China in particular continues to flourish as its remarkable economic expansion continues apace. Companies in the Asia-Pacific region are increasingly expanding and developing significant operations overseas. In addition, international investors are looking to the opportunities in the Region and in particular, in China, as its vast market opens to increased foreign direct investment.
At Arthur Cox we appreciate that our clients operate in a constantly developing commercial environment. We have a dedicated Asia-Pacific Group, headed by tax partner Caroline Devlin, which coordinates all of the firm’s activities in and with the Asia-Pacific region. We work closely with independent law firms in the Region and participate in Asia-Pacific trade associations, chambers of commerce and industry groups. We are also members of the Ireland China Association, the International Bar Association and Lex Mundi, the association of independent law firms. We act for Irish and international clients seeking to invest and establish operations in the Asia-Pacific region as well as for new and existing clients from the region looking to invest and do business in and through Ireland. With specialists drawing on the expertise and experience of all the industry-specific practice areas across the firm as well as our extensive network of contacts both at home and in the Asia-Pacific region, we can help our clients prepare for the opportunities and the challenges they face in doing business overseas.
