1. Our People
Above all, we invest in our people. Our trainees are the future solicitors and partners of the firm. We are committed to providing you with a dynamic, professional environment that will best nurture your strengths and help you develop into the most skilled lawyer that you can be.
2. Our Culture
Our vibrant, friendly culture is one of our most valuable assets and it has grown over the years into something special and unique. We have an open door policy throughout the firm and the atmosphere is one of genuine approachability. We are committed to creating, developing and nurturing an inclusive and diverse workplace where individuals are valued and supported.
Our culture is a reflection of our commitment to one another.
3. Our Calibre of Work
As an Arthur Cox trainee, you will advise market-leading domestic and international clients. You will work as an integral part of a team with lawyers who are expert leaders in their fields and who are committed to giving you unrivalled opportunities for professional growth and development.
4. Our Tradition
Arthur Cox has been at the forefront of law in Ireland since the formation of the State. Our lawyers have literally written the laws of this land.
Our founder, Arthur Cox, advised the drafters of the Irish Constitution in 1922.
He also drafted the Companies Act 1963. This was the seminal piece of company legislation in Ireland for the next 40 years until another Arthur Cox lawyer, Dr Thomas Courtney, was responsible for its replacement. Tom is chairman of the Company Law Reform Group – which drafted the Companies Act 2013.
At Arthur Cox, not only do you apply the law, but you work with the very individuals who drafted it.
5. Our Sense of Responsibility
Arthur Cox himself had a strong social conscience – moving to Zambia to join a Jesuit mission. Today we continue to incorporate this ethos in our day-to-day business.
We operate a coordinated, focused, well-balanced and meaningful pro-bono scheme. Our trainees and summer interns play a leading role.
The Arthur Cox Zambia Project is a trainee-developed initiative designed to raise the standards of living in some of the most rural regions of Zambia. To date, over 100 trainees have participated in fundraising and have travelled to Zambia themselves to help out on the ground. To learn more about this project please click here.
6. Our Location
Arthur Cox is the only leading law firm located in Dublin’s city centre. Our office is located at Ten Earlsfort Terrace, a stone’s throw from St. Stephen’s Green and the busy Grafton Street shopping district. Our location makes us quickly accessible to clients based in Dublin, as well as being close to most city centre hotels and 30 minutes from Dublin Airport for clients travelling from abroad.
