How to Apply

Non-Law Students

Are you a non-law student/graduate considering a career in the law?

Arthur Cox is actively seeking applications for a traineeship from students of all disciplines, both law and non-law. If you have a strong academic record and can prove you are determined and eager to learn we would love to hear from you. Here is some information you may find useful to get you started.

Securing a traineeship: You do not have to have passed the FE1 exams or studied law in order to secure a place on the Trainee Development Programme. We value diversity and are actively recruiting trainees from all disciplines, both law and non-law, to join us.

FE1 Exams: The FE1 (Final Examination, Part 1) Exams are organised by the Law Society of Ireland. Before starting on the Trainee Development Programme you will need to have passed each FE1 exam. We understand this may seem daunting but we can offer successful candidates support in the form of time, advice, study sessions and notes to help you through the process. Many of our current trainees and associates have passed the FE1 exams without having completed a law degree.

Questions: We are here to help. If you have any questions or we can assist you in any way with your application please do not hesitate to contact us.
