Join Arthur Cox

Technology & Innovation Associate  (3 – 5 yrs pqe)

The Technology & Innovation Group at Arthur Cox is seeking a mid-level solicitor to join their rapidly expanding practice. We have a large body of domestic and international clients who share a common purpose – they expect highly commercial, responsive and solution-focused advice from a team of partners and associates offering a premier level of experience and expertise within the Irish market. Lawyers from our Technology & Innovation team are especially active in our International practice where we enjoy a particularly rich heritage, particularly in the US. We also advise international and domestic clients in relation to ongoing legal compliance in key areas such as data protection, online betting and gaming and export control.

In addition to our advisory practice, our client base also includes some of Ireland’s largest and fastest growing domestic technology companies. We work with these rapidly scaling companies to help them complete fundraising rounds, from seed capital, series A, series B etc and through to exit. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the fastest growing technology companies who are scaling internationally and who want “best in class” advisory and transactional legal support.

Our ideal candidate for this position would have the following qualifications and qualities:

  • At least three years PQE with a mid to large commercial law firm;
  • Corporate law experience would be invaluable. IP or data protection experience is not essential but a genuine interest in technology and a commitment to constant learning and career development is;
  • A true team player with a strong work ethic. The ideal person would be solutions-focused and would work seamlessly within our team (currently 4 partners, 5 solicitors and a consultant) and would also be adaptable enough to work collegiately with other colleagues across the firm, usually to tight deadlines;
  • An understanding of the mechanics of seed capital and venture capital transactions and a sense of market trends would be an advantage.
