trainee solicitor programme

salary

At Arthur Cox we offer you a market leading salary throughout the course of your training program, whether you are working in the office or attending the Law Society Professional Practice Courses 1 and 2. In addition, we pay for the Law Society fees for all trainee solicitors as well as covering the examination fees for the FE1s and both Irish exams.

In keeping with our ethos of tailoring our trainee solicitor programme to the particular skills and interests of each individual trainee solicitor, we encourage you to avail of every opportunity to continue your academic and professional development both within and outside the office.

If you have a course in mind, a particular area of law that interests you or a particular skill that you wish to develop, we want to assist you in achieving that goal. At Arthur Cox every trainee solicitor is provided with a generous education allowance as well as paid study-leave to enable them to pursue their interests. The use of this allowance is not limited to purely academic courses and trainee solicitors have used it to participate in debating and moot court competitions both at home and overseas, as well as attending conferences in particular areas of interest. Below are just some of the ways that the current trainee solicitors have availed of this resource:

  • Diploma in Employment Law, University College, Dublin
  • Diploma in Arbitration, University College, Dublin
  • LL M in Commercial Law, University College, Dublin
  • Institute of Taxation in Ireland, Associateship Exams
  • Institute of Taxation in Ireland, First Annual Young Members Conference, Prague
