Eve specialises in commercial litigation with particular emphasis on judicial review, product liability, professional negligence claims, Tribunals and Inquiries, EU regulation and competition. She was apprenticed and qualified with Arthur Cox.
Experience
Eve has been involved in a number of high profile cases including:
- Representing clients before the televised Tribunal into Deposit Interest Retention Tax (D.I.R.T.).
- Acting for one of the defendant blood manufacturers in the HIV Litigation.
- Representing the applicant in judicial review proceedings against the Commission for Aviation Regulation, which ran for over 30 days in the High Court.
- Representing over 40 Irish bookmakers in an intellectual property dispute against the British Horseracing Board in proceedings brought before the Commercial Court in November 2005.
- Representing high profile clients in successful application before the Valuation Tribunal regarding significant dispute over calculation of rates.
- Representing the receiver in complex and multiple proceedings involving claim for damages in excess of €100 million relating to directors loans, mortgages, charges and guarantees.
- Representing a national farmers association in successfully obtaining an interlocutory injunction suspending enforcement of EU Regulation, which has already been passed into Irish law.
- Representing a number of clients in complex disputes involving interpretation of EU Regulations, including a number of referrals to the European Court of Justice under Article 234 of the EU Treaty.
- Representing a number of professional indemnity insurers in defending significant professional negligence actions.
