Yvonne has written five books and numerous articles on Environmental Law.
Yvonne Scannell is a Professor in the Law School, Trinity College, Dublin where she specialises in Irish and European Environmental Law and Policy. She is on the board of directors of several public companies and of several journals including the Journal of Environmental Law. She served on the Advisory Board of the Environmental Protection Agency from 1994-1997. Yvonne was a recipient of the Spirit of Columbus Award for her Contribution to the Environment in 1994 and in 1996 she was the Francis E Lewis scholar at the University of Washington and Lee, in Virginia, USA. She was a founder member and first chairperson of the Irish Association of Environmental Law. Dr. Scannell has extensive practical experience in environmental matters. She has been a consultant to the Environmental Law Group at Arthur Cox since 1990.
