Our international arbitration practice provides our clients and international law firms with first class international arbitration experts focussed on resolving disputes confidentially, and as cost effectively and efficiently as possible, delivering the optimum outcome for our clients. We regularly act for clients in commercially sensitive, complex and high-value international arbitrations and our experience spans a wide range of sectors.
Following the introduction of the Arbitration Act 2010, which adopted the UNCITRAL Model Law as the de facto rules to regulate all international and domestic arbitral disputes in Ireland, international companies and organisations increasingly view Ireland as a venue of choice to resolve potential disputes. Our International Arbitration Group has a strong track record of working in tandem with international law firms to resolve disputes on their clients’ behalf.
We work with clients from the early stages of negotiating and drafting contracts and guide them through every aspect of the arbitration process when disputes arise, seeking to enforce or set aside arbitral awards, where necessary. We have extensive experience in both international and domestic commercial arbitration including under the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the American Arbitration Association (AAA), the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) and the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). We contribute to Kluwer Arbitration Smartcharts, the International Bar Association Arbitration Guide and the Global Arbitration Review. Our lawyers are also active on the executive committee of Arbitration Ireland, a body whose aim is to promote Ireland as a venue for international arbitration.
