He was lead partner on the following transactions:
- Advised Cambridge Laboratories Group in relation to the sale of the worldwide development and commercialisation rights to the entire portfolio of tetrabenazine products and associated IP rights held by Cambridge Laboratories (Ireland) Limited to Biovail Corporation - US$230m
- Advised Helsinn Group in relation to the sale of the entire issued share capital of Helsinn Chemicals Ireland Limited to Medinco S.p.A
- Advised ThromboGenics Group in relation to the implementation of a cross-border merger by absorption of ThromboGenics Limited with and into ThromboGenics NV in accordance with the European Communities (Cross-Border Mergers) Regulations 2008
- Advised Davy Corporate Finance (acting as corporate finance adviser and equity placement agent) in relation to the acquisition of Houghton Mifflin Co by HM Rivergroup plc (US$3.4 billion), the related acquisition by HM Rivergroup plc of Riverdeep Holdings Limited (US$1.2 billion) related investment in the merged entity by Davy private clients and subsequent acquisition of the Harcourt educational business of the Reed Elsevier (US$4 billion) and related private equity investment in support of that transaction
- Advised Kentz Corporation on it's listing on AIM (Stg£66.7 million raised)
- Advised 3V Transaction Services Limited in relation to first round venture capital financing from Atlas Ventures and Benchmark Capital Europe (€20 million)
- Advised the board of Thrombogenics Limited in relation to the corporate restructuring of the Thrombogenics Group and related fundraising pursuant to an IPO on Euronext Brussels (€35 million)
- Advised McCormick Macnaughton Group in relation to the acquisition of the A – Plant Ireland business from Ashtead Group plc (UK) (€17.4 million)
- Advised Globoforce Limited in relation to second round venture capital financing from Atlas Venture and Benchmark Capital Europe (US$9.3 million)
- Advised Grafton Group plc in relation to the acquisition of Telford Group Limited
- Advised Sifco Turbine Components Inc (US) in relation to sale of assets of its large aerospace business to SR Technics (Swiss)
- Advised Upright International Group in relation to the sale of its powered aerial reach equipment business carried on through various subsidiaries in Ireland, the US, Japan, the UK and Malaysia to the Tanfield Group (UK)
- With Colm Duggan and Elizabeth Bothwell, Topaz Energy Group in the acquisition of the retail and commercial fuels business of Royal Dutch Shell in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
