Mark Barr - Partner, Head of Property

Mark is a partner in the Property Group. He specialises in all aspects of commercial property including development, construction, property finance, commercial landlord and tenant and investment acquisitions and disposals.

Practice Areas

In recent years Mark has advised in relation to a number of headline property transactions including:

Advising Dublin Airport Authority in the disposal of the Great Southern Hotel chain.
Advising Royal Liver Assurance Limited in investment property disposals and acquisitions with an aggregate value in excess of €200 million
Advising Dublin Institute of Technology in relation to its new campus development at Grangegorman, Dublin.
Advising Royal & Sun Alliance on their new headquarter building at Dundrum Town Centre.
Advising the Rohan Group on the development of several commercial schemes including Dublin Airport Logistics Park.
Advising Blackrock International Land plc on several development land acquisitions.

Mark also advises several State and semi-State companies in relation to their property portfolios including Dublin Port Company, Dublin Airport Authority, the Health Service Executive, and Dublin Institute of Technology amongst others.

Mark has acted as external examiner to the Law School of the Law Society of Ireland in the area of Landlord and Tenant Law.

Mark is a regular contributor to Law Society CPD Seminars on Commercial Leases.
