John Meade - Partner

John specialises in European Community and Competition Law. In the early 1980's John lectured in European Community Law at Queen's University, Belfast. He then practised for a number of years in the Brussels office of a large UK firm before joining Arthur Cox in 1990. He has been Head of the EC and Competition Group since 1990 and a partner since 1993. He advises clients primarily on European Community and Irish competition law and merger control. John has been involved in representing clients in proceedings before the European Commission and the Courts of the European Union and proceedings in the Irish Courts and before the Irish Competition Authority. He has published a number of articles on European and Competition Law and lectures regularly on the subjects at conferences and universities in Ireland and abroad.
