Jane specialises in Projects/Procurement Law. She qualified as a solicitor in 1997, having spent her training period in the Dublin and Brussels offices of McCann FitzGerald (having also been seconded to a US law firm). Jane lectured in Engineering Law in University College Dublin, Procurement Law in Trinity College Dublin, and has had a number of articles published and talks delivered in relation to Projects, Procurement and Competitive Dialogue. She became a Partner in McCann FitzGerald’s Projects Group in 2004. Having relocated to Belfast, Jane was directly seconded to the Strategic Investment Board (SIB) in 2006 and has now returned as a Projects/Procurement/Construction Partner in Arthur Cox’s Belfast office. She has been consulted by a number of public authorities, stakeholders, private developers, contractors, funders and members of professional teams in connection with major civil engineering and construction projects and has advised in respect of many of the major PFI Projects undertaken in the Republic of Ireland (including the roads, schools, accommodation, tourism and courts sectors). In SIB, Jane worked on the delivery of complex infrastructural projects by contracting authorities across all sectors in Northern Ireland, including health (hospitals and primary care), accommodation, education, waste water, roads, tourism and the proposed development of the waste sector. | Practice Areas |
