Cormac is a partner, and the head of the firm's Capital Markets Group. He advises on a full range of capital markets, structured finance and related issues. Cormac has advised on the securitisation of a wide variety of asset classes, acting for both domestic and international clients, as well as on the establishment of covered bond programmes. He also advises on a broad range of debt capital markets transactions including corporate and high-yield bonds, medium term note and commercial paper programmes, tier 1 and other hybrid-type securities.

Cormac is also a member of the firm's Financial Regulatory Group where he focuses particularly on bank regulatory matters and derivatives.

Cormac previously worked for leading international law firms in London, New York and Hong Kong. He has lectured in Trinity College, Dublin on Finance Law.

Recent transactions include:

  • Member of the team advising the Department of Finance on issues relating to the banking crisis.
  • Advised Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Limited on its first ever securitisation of residential mortgages, Wolfhound 2008-1 Limited.
  • Advised CRH plc on recent bond issues under its US and European debt programmes.
  • AdvisedDAA on its €600 million eurobond offering.
