  • Unilever plc on the successful bid for Lyons Holdings plc
  • The Anglo American Group on the acquisition and joint venture relating to the Lisheen Zinc Mine; Eircom and Radio Telefis Eireann on the disposal for €680m of Cablelink Limited to NTL
  • Greencore Group plc on the disposal of a number of its subsidiary companies including Erin Foods Limited and Grassland Fertilisers Limited

  • The Little Company of Mary Sisters on the sale of Mount Carmel Hospital to Harlequin Healthcare
  • Wockhardt Limited on the acquisition of Pinewood Healthcare for US$150m
