Tom Courtney Honoured with NUIG Alumni Award for Law, Public Policy and Government

On Saturday, 4 March 2017,  NUI Galway announced the winners of its Alumni Awards at its annual Alumni Awards Gala Banquet.

The Alumni Awards recognise individual excellence and achievements among the University’s 90,000 graduates worldwide. The 2017 Awards programme boasted an impressive roll call of 100 outstanding graduates from a variety of disciplines.

Dr. Tom Courtney, Corporate Partner and Head of the Company Compliance and Governance Practice at Arthur Cox, was honoured with the Alumni Award for Law, Public Policy and Government. In this video he recounts the story of his journey into law, his formative years at NUI Galway and the vision that drove him to become a pivotal light in company law in Ireland.
