For the second consecutive year in 2010 Arthur Cox has topped the tables of law firms advising on Project Finance deals closed, by value and volume, on the island of Ireland.
According to the Infrastructure Journal league tables, Arthur Cox advised on a greater value and volume of Irish deals than any other firm during 2010. It advised on eight deals worth US$619.7 million in this period. The firm also topped the Corporate Finance deals closed tables by both value and volume.
Infrastructure Journal compiles annual international league tables for infrastructure transactions. These are considered to be the most highly regarded league tables in the infrastructure finance sector.
Significantly, the volume of transactions that Arthur Cox closed in 2010 is a record for an Irish law firm, which was a great achievement in what was a very difficult year for project finance transactions, and reflects a significant increase in market share. Particularly pleasing is the breadth of the firm’s practice, having closed transactions in more sectors than any other Irish law firm including the Education, Healthcare, Power (Transmission & Distribution), Wind, Waste and Telecommunications Network sectors.
This is a strong endorsement of the quality of Arthur Cox’s Projects/Project Finance team in Dublin and Belfast and the position that it now occupies in the market.
