Arthur Cox is Irish Law Firm of the Year

Firm Recognised Once More as Ireland’s Best

Arthur Cox has been named Republic of Ireland Law Firm of the Year at The Lawyer European Awards, beating off competition from all of Ireland’s largest firms to win the prize.

Arthur Cox was selected from a shortlist which included all of Ireland’s so-called “big five” law firms. According to The Lawyer, what the winners have in common is “a commitment to excellence across the board and a clear strategic vision. Every entry is scrutinised by the same criteria and it’s quality not quantity, that wins the top prizes.”

Commenting on the award, the Managing Partner of Arthur Cox Mr Brian O’Gorman said: ‘We are delighted to have been awarded this accolade. It is great recognition of the commitment to excellence of everyone at the firm.’

The firm employs over 350 lawyers and has a total staff of approximately 650 in offices in Dublin, Belfast, London, New York and Silicon Valley. Its practice encompasses all aspects of corporate, finance and business law.

Earlier this year Arthur Cox was named Ireland Law Firm of the Year by Who’s Who Legal. That award was based on the findings of an independent six-month research process that encompasses feedback from private practitioners, clients and other experts. The firm was also named Ireland Tax Firm of the Year 2012 by the International Tax Review, the fourth time Arthur Cox has won this award in the past eight years. The firm was named Legal Adviser of the Year for the fifth consecutive year at the most recent Financial Times/Mergermarket European M&A Awards.
