Grainne advises financial institutions and borrowers on:

  • syndicate finance;
  • real estate finance;
  • project finance and public private partnership;
  • construction finance;
  • leveraged acquisition finance
  • working capital finance including invoice discount facilities and receivables and inventory financing;
  • debt restructuring, including debt for equity swaps, warrant issues and debt write offs;
  • financing to Qualifying Investor Alternative Investment Funds (QIAIFs) and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs);
  • unitranche financing; and
  • mezzanine financing.

Experience

  • Advised Eirgrid plc on the ECB (€300 million) and Bank (€160 million) funding of the construction of the 500 mw interconnector between Ireland and England
  • Advised the Viridian Group on the financing on a portfolio of wind farms
  • Advised BOI and Investec on project finance for Cignal Infrastructure
  • Advised AIB on the BWG syndicate facilities
  • Advised AIB on the Towercom syndicate facilities
  • Advised the syndicate banks who provide facilities to the Independent News & Media Group
  • Advised Petrogas on its purchase of its own debt from IBRC
  • Advised Bank of Scotland/Lloyds on the restructuring of various loans, including drafting detailed settlement agreements
  • Advised Kennedy Wilson on a loan portfolio purchase from NAMA
  • Advised the funders to Topaz on the refinancing of the IBRC debt
  • Advised the syndicate lenders to the Greenstar group on their enforcement strategy, including the appointment of a receiver
  • Advised NAMA on the enforcement of multi-asset security
  • Advised IBRC in relation to the voluntary creditors settlement proposed by Sean Fitzpatrick and on his bankruptcy
  • Currently advising Kennedy Wilson on the financing of the Capital Dock project in Dublin
  • Currently acting for syndicate lenders to a number of large Irish companies, including the Dawn Meats Group, the One51 Group, the Inver Energy Group, the Dairygold Group, Coillte, Cignal Infrastructure and the BWG Group.
