Conor advises on the tax aspects of a wide range of international and domestic mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and information technology, financial products, repackagings and structured finance, banking, capital markets, investment funds, corporate recovery, insolvency, restructuring and other areas. Conor is also Chairman of the firm’s US Group. Prior to joining Arthur Cox, Conor was a tax partner at an international law firm in London for over 13 years.

  • Acting for Vodafone on the disposal of its US Group to Verizon Communications.
  • Advising Actavis on its merger with Forest Laboratories.
  • Advising Warner Chilcott Group on its merger with Actavis.
  • Acting for Canada Life on its acquisition of Irish life Insurance.
  • Advising Warner Chilcott Group on its migration to Ireland and the acquisition by it of the Global Pharmaceutical Business of Proctor & Gamble.
  • Advising global information services group Experian on the demerger from Gus Plc and public listing of Experian Group and migration of its holding company to Ireland.
  • Advising James Hardie on its migration to Ireland and the formation of a European SE as its holding company.
  • Advising Viridian Energy Group on the acquisition of Eco Wind Power Limited.
  • Advising Shire Pharmaceuticals on its corporate migration to Ireland.
  • Advising the Irish Government and Department of Finance on the creation of the National Asset Management Agency (NAMA), the recapitalisation of Irish banks, the taking into public ownership of Anglo Irish Bank and the liability management exercise in respect of AIB and Bank of Ireland.
  • Advising Landesbank Baden-Württemberg in Germany on its cross border merger with the Sachsen Bank in Ireland (SLBE).
